CWU negotiates on accident book

The CWU communication workers' union has negotiated a national agreement with Royal Mail to provide details of incidents to safety representatives.

Unions were concerned after a ruling by the Information Commissioner said that the old accident books breached the Data Protection Act, as they disclosed personal information, and had to be phased out.
