Give reps the data they need

Employers are abusing the Data Protection Act (DPA) to deny safety reps access to important information.

The London Hazards Centre (LHC) says that employers have become "increasingly obstructive" and are using the DPA as an excuse to withhold details of serious accidents, even though section 35 of the Act makes it clear that safety reps have a legal right to such information.
