Safer needles audit

UNISON public services union is calling on its safety reps to take part in an online audit of needle safety practices.

The union is working with the NHS Employers organisation on the audit of compliance with “Blue book” recommendations, aimed at minimising the risks of staff exposure to blood and body fluids.

Although NHS Employers only covers England, UNISON also wants safety reps elsewhere in the UK to fill in the questionnaire.
