Promoting race equality code

A draft code and guidance on the duty to promote race equality has been produced by the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE). The amended Race Relations Act gave public authorities a new statutory duty to promote race equality. The CRE has published separate guidance for schools and further and higher education institutions, as well as a guide to ethnic monitoring.
