Guide to case law

For the first time the Labour Research Department (LRD) has published a detailed guide to legal cases. It aims to assist reps who are preparing to submit employment tribunal claims as well as those involved in negotiations who need to know the latest legal position.

Case law at work 2004-05 is a unique source of information on recent employment law cases. It contains clear summaries of important employment law cases that have been decided by the Employment Appeal Tribunal, the Court of Appeal, the House of Lords and the European Court of Justice.

It covers case law examples on the employment contract, rights to pay and conditions, union and collective organisation, discrimination at work, sick pay, dismissal, redundancy and more.
