European agreements

Getting access to information on developments on pay and conditions in other countries is often difficult and time-consuming.

The Labour Research Department has recently provided technical expertise for a project that will help negotiators in the public services overcome some of these problems.

The European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) is setting up a web-based information system of collective agreements in the public sector and asked the LRD to develop the software for the Internet interface. The system, which was largely paid for by a grant from the European Commission, allows users to compare agreements between countries as well as linking directly with other sources of collective bargaining information available on the web.
