The LabourStart site at www.labourstart.org has correspondents around the world who contribute regular links to stories from Brazil to Zambia. In addition to covering strikes and disputes, they carry links to stories of more general interest to trade unionists, such as the recent debate over whether .union should become a domain name alongside the familiar .com and .co names.

A similar but less comprehensive service is provided by LabourNet at www.labournet.org.uk. The emphasis here is on publicising disputes, and the site has its origins in building international support for the 1995 Liverpool dockers' strike.
