Visteon success

Occupations and protest action over the closure of car parts plants owned by Ford spin-off Visteon have achieved spectacular results (see Labour Research May 2009, page 5). In contrast with what was previously on offer, workers employed at the time of the spin-off get full Ford terms and additional payments, while workers who joined later also get Ford-based terms.
