Social workers swell Community’s ranks

The Community union has expanded its membership by 1,640 — as has the TUC —after the British Union of Social Work Employees (BUSWE) voted to transfer its engagements to it.

An overwhelming 89% of the previously non-TUC union’s members supported the merger in a ballot.
