Leadership election

Michael Leahy has been re-elected as general secretary of the Community general union. He had put himself up for open election despite having the right to stay on until retirement age, but in the event was unopposed.

The union’s election for a new deputy general secretary was won by national officer Joe Mann in a turnout of 19.5%.
