Expanding the CWU

The CWU communication workers’ union has appointed three new organisers, increasing the total headcount of its organising team to a record-high of 15.

The union’s national organising secretary, John East, said the challenge is “to ‘harden up’ membership in the traditional areas where recognition is long-established — but also to search out ‘frontiers new’ within the wider communications industries”.
