Scottish local council bosses get 2.5%

Fresh talks are taking place to resolve the local government pay disputes affecting England, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as Scotland. However, the Chief Officers and Chief Executives’ agreement for Scotland has been settled with a 2.5% increase on spinal column salary points each year for three years from 1 April.

• East Hampshire District Council, one of the English councils where negotiations take place locally, has agreed a 3% settlement across the board from 1 April.
