5.2% for theatre staff

West End theatre staff represented by the BECTU media union have secured a new staged deal running until September 2014 that delivers a 5.2% increase backdated to 2 January, with a 2.7% rise from June 2013.

As part of the deal, the holiday entitlement for new staff will be the statutory provision of 28 days including public holidays. However, staff employed on a six-day contract will benefit from an additional four days’ holiday, taking their annual entitlement to 32 days including public holidays.
