Tesco retail pay deal

Tesco retail staff will receive a minimum of 2.3% in the first part of a two-stage deal. The agreement also sees increases in premia, with night premia increasing by 2.3% plus an additional 10p per hour for the first part of the night shift. This gives two night premia: night premium 1 (10pm till midnight) paid at £1.38 and night premium 2 (midnight till 6am) paid at £2.05.

From 29 August this year, Tesco youth rates will be abolished, bringing young workers’ pay up 19.76% to match adult rates. There are also discussions on improvements to maternity pay.
