AIDS discrimination

A TUC initiative aimed at combating HIV/AIDS through workplaces in Nigeria is now supporting workers in the country’s health and education sectors to fight stigma and discrimination. Union leaders are working to encourage employers to implement the National Workplace Policy on HIV/AIDS. The three-year initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and six of its affiliates and is funded by the UK Department for International Development at a cost of £500,000.
