Holidays buck falling price trend

The underlying rate of inflation, excluding mortgage interest payments, fell to 2.2% in July from 2.4% the previous month. The headline rate also fell to 1.6%, its lowest level since November 1999. But the bad news for holidaymakers was that foreign holidays were up 10% on last year and UK holidays were 6% dearer.
