Poland plans two minimum rate rises

The Polish government, which faces elections next month, has announced that it plans to put up the national minimum wage twice in 2024. It will increase by 17.8% from its current level of 3,600 zł (£690) a month to 4,242 zł (£815) in January and by a further 1.4% to 4,300 zł (£825) in July. Inflation in Poland is currently 14.4% (July).
