New leaders
Gerry Murphy has been named as the leading representative for the trade union movement in Northern Ireland by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU). The title of the post is ICTU assistant general secretary.
Meanwhile Napo, the union for probation and family court staff, has begun the process of a electing a general secretary by advertising for the post on a number of websites.
Current incumbent Ian Lawrencewill be re-standing, and if there are any challengers a ballot will be run next month.
