Rail union chooses strike dates in solidarity

The RMT rail workers’ union has called four further 24-hour strikes on 16, 18 and 30 March, and 1 April, choosing specifically not to take action on 15 March, when 300,000 NEU teachers and 100,000 PCS union civil service workers are set to walk out.

RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said, “We will run the national railway on March 15th to facilitate this mobilisation of our fellow striking workers. This will be a powerful message of workers’ solidarity.”
