Wealth inequality

The Fairness Foundation think tank has warned that growing wealth inequality is a threat to collective wellbeing following an expert roundtable of 25 senior figures from politics, government, academia, business and civil society to assess wealth inequality risks.

The Inequality Knocks report compiles observations from that roundtable.

The report was followed by a survey of 2,000 adults by the Opinium market research agency to explore how the British public feels about the influence of the very wealthy on politics.

This revealed that almost two-thirds (63%) believe the very rich have too much influence on UK politics.
