Unions sign labour protection agreement
Poland’s three main union confederations, Solidarnosc, OPZZ and FZZ, have signed an agreement with the country’s labour inspectorate, the PIP, on future cooperation on labour protection. Katarzyna Łazewska-Hrycko, the head of the PIP, emphasised that the unions were the inspectorate’s most important partners on questions relating to ensuring health and safety at work and the legality of employment.
The agreement includes arrangements allowing unions to report breaches of health and safety and employment regulations to the labour inspectorate and for joint training.
