Inter-union dispute

Three unions who organise school support staff have had their complaint about the activities of the National Education Union (NEU) upheld by a TUC disputes panel.

The ruling reaffirmed that the three unions — UNISON, GMB and Unite — have exclusive bargaining rights for school support staff.

It also stated that, in future, the NEU should take no action that could be regarded as organising activity among these workers.
