Learning rep award

A workplace and learning rep for the Scotland number 1 branch of the CWU communications workers’ union has won a top Scottish TUC award in recognition of her learning work.

Mel Gorrie set up about 12 courses per year, ranging from technical training to subjects such as neurodiversity awareness, languages and signing. When the pandemic arrived she continued the programme by switching it all online.
