Stanistreet steps down

Michelle Stanistreet is stepping down as general secretary of the NUJ journalists’ union, though she will serve out the rest of her term. Stanistreet has been in the post since 2011, when she was elected as the union’s first ever female general secretary.

Nominations for her successor close on 27 August.
