Polish sick pay changes

The Polish government is working on plans to shift the cost of sick pay from employers to the state. Currently employers must pay sick pay for the first 33 days of sickness (14 days in companies with more than 50 employees). The government intends that in future this cost would be borne by the national insurance fund. It is also looking at increasing the sick pay that employees receive, potentially increasing it to 100% of normal pay.
