ETUC presses for action

The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has responded to new guidelines published by the re-elected European Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen.

ETUC general secretary Esther Lynch said von der Leyen’s guidelines “lay out some valuable proposals to address economic insecurity like increasing collective bargaining coverage”.

However, Lynch said, “now legislative commitments must follow”.
