Prices rise more slowly

Prices continued to rise more slowly in the 12 months to June, with Retaill Prices Index (RPI) inflation (the preferred measure of union negotiators) at 2.9%, down from 3.0% in the 12 months to May.

The Consumer Prices Index (CPI) rose by 2.0% in the 12 months to June, the same rate as the 12 months to May 2024.

The Consumer Prices Index including housing costs (CPIH) rose by 2.8%, relatively moderate compared to historical trends.
