Congress House
A full review by the TUC has concluded that the organisation should sell its grade 2 listed Congress House headquarters in central London and to seek a new “fit-for-purpose” replacement.
TUC general secretary Paul Nowak told the Morning Star: “The decision to look to move from Congress House has been an incredibly difficult one. But we feel it is in the best interests of the TUC — and the millions of working people we serve and represent — for us to find a new home for trade unionism.
“The TUC’s role is to be the voice of working people. Our commercial and property activity has always existed to serve this greater purpose. We must always put the needs of unions and their members first.”
