Long delays for tribunal hearings

Figures from the April minutes of the employment tribunals user group meeting reveal very long waits for some cases to be heard.

The London South region has the longest delays, meaning cases needing six to 10 days being listed as far away as 2026. Longer hearings are also being listed in the second half of 2025 in London East, the North West (Liverpool), Midlands East and the South East.

While shorter hearings (of 1-2 days) can be listed in the second half of 2024 in most regions, delays still remain a severe problem.
