Young workers

Unions must embrace digital strategies, streamline their processes and broaden the scope of issues they address to connect better with young workers, says a member of the TUC Young Workers Forum.

Writing on the TUC website during November’s TUC Young Workers Month, Pablo John called on unions to take account of the fact that many young people work in small organisations, either completely or partially remotely, and some without a physical workplace at all.

He also said that turnover is generally very high among young workers, meaning unions had to respond quickly to their concerns.
