Hours cut

The Polish labour minster Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bak has asked her ministry to examine options for cutting working time in Poland from its current eight hours a day and 40 hours a week.

Two models will be considered, a reduction to 35 hours a week or a move to a four-day week.

Dziemianowicz-Bak has said that she currently prefers the four-day week option, which the prime minister, Donald Tusk, proposed in 2022.
