Staff working for the GMB general union’s North East, Yorkshire and Humberside region have cancelled threatened strike action in relation to allegations of bullying and harassment by the employer.

In March, the staff, members of the Unite union, had voted in favour of industrial action in a consultative ballot.

However, agreement has apparently been reached, with the GMB telling the BBC that: “All sides have approached the discussions positively, addressing a wide range of issues in good faith.”
