Italian unions strike

Two of Italy’s three main union confederations, CGIL and UIL, called their members out in a one-day general strike on 16 December.

They were protesting against the government budget for 2022 which Maurizio Landini, general secretary of the largest confederation CGIL, has called “socially unjust”.
