Recognition wins
The Unite general union has won the right to collectively bargain on behalf of security officers employed by Kingdom Services Group Limited based at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The recognition claim went through the statutory process, but was successful without the need for a staff ballot.
Meanwhile, as Workplace Report went to press, Unite was awaiting a response from Financial Conduct Authority CEO Nikhil Rathi to a formal request for voluntary recognition. The law gives the FCA 10 working days to respond.
