Prison service may face homicide charge

In what the Inquest charity described as a historic development, Police Scotland will investigate the Scottish Prison Service for corporate homicide following the restraint-related death of 30-year old Allan Marshall in 2015. Inquest says no public or government body in the UK has ever been prosecuted for corporate homicide, the Scottish equivalent of corporate manslaughter.
