Polish minimum wage to go up twice

The Polish government has announced that the national minimum wage will go up by 15.9% in January 2023 to 3,490 zł (around £644) a month or 22.80 zł (£4.20) an hour. It will then rise by a further 3.2% in July to 3,600 zł a month or 23.50 zł an hour. This double increase is required by law when government forecasts indicate that inflation will be higher than 5.0%. Inflation is currently 16.1% (August).
