Extra holiday for some

At least two groups of workers have secured extra paid holiday as part of their recent pay deals. Workers at Kraft Heinz (Wigan) will get an additional three days off over the Christmas period, while Capital City College Group staff got an increase in holiday entitlement of three days, with harmonisation of entitlement across the group.

AAH Pharmaceuticals cut its holiday entitlement for new starters to 20 days (they will now build up to the 25 days’ entitlement for existing staff by increasing their entitlement by one day per year of service). However the change was part of a nine month settlement (from 1 July) which brought forward the starting time for night rates from 22:00 to 20:00, raised pay rates (to £9.78ph for warehouse staff and 5% for salaried staff), and increased London Weighting by 11.9% to £4,000.
