Pay and leave bundle

Telecoms and broadband workers at VMO2 have accepted a significantly improved pay settlement for 2022 worth 10% in cash terms (dependent on grade) while for staff at O2 stores, bonus “absorption” plus lump sum payments took its overall value to around 17%, in cash terms. It followed CWU members’ overwhelming rejection of a previously imposed settlement.

But the union also welcomed parallel improvements and harmonisation in maternity, adoption, paternity, carers’ and pregnancy loss leave, and leave for serious neonatal complications. The company’s trans healthcare benefit scheme was singled out for particular praise (see page 6).
