ETUC stresses collective bargaining

The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has made reinforcing collective bargaining one of its key future goals in the action programme for the next four years agreed at its congress in May. It aims to use the new minimum wage directive, which sets a target of 80% bargaining coverage in EU states, as a mechanism to increase the number of workers whose pay and conditions are set by collective bargaining.
