Green bargaining guide

The UNISON public services union marked its Green Week of action in September with the launch of a new guide, Bargaining on green issues in the workplace.

This explains that half of UK carbon emissions are produced by work activity. It sets out how activists can ensure employers deliver the necessary just transition to meet their climate commitments and protect jobs and services.

And it calls for just transition plans, co-created with workers and their unions, to guarantee decent work, social protection, training opportunities, and job security for all workers affected by global warming and climate change policies.
