Unions show their value

Last month saw unions and their activists showcasing the value of unions during #HeartUnions week.

The annual event is a campaign week of activity introduced by the TUC as an opportunity to “tell the story about why unions are vital for everyone at work, and encourage them to join a union”.

Ahead of the events, the TUC cited the twin challenges of the ongoing global pandemic and unstable global economy, saying: “We are proud of the way the trade union movement responded, stepping up to fight the pandemic, demanding action to protect jobs and supporting our members.”

Unions were asked to demonstrate what they achieve for working people and encourage members to recruit acquaintances.
