Amazon accused

The OZZ Polish union has presented official complaints to local prosecutors, accusing retail giant Amazon of preventing it from holding a strike vote at two sites.

Amazon blocked union members from carrying out a vote on its premises at two fulfilment centres in Lódz and Okmiany in Silesia.

The union is looking to a six zloytys an hour increase (around £1.12) on the current 24 zloty rate. And it accuses Amazon of treating its Polish workers as cheap labour.
