Minimum wage

Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg and Spain are the countries where employers are most likely to fail to pay the national minimum wage, according to a new study by Eurofound, the EU’s social and employment research agency.

The study also finds that workers paid below the minimum wage are “generally younger and less educated, and more likely to be female, on a fixed-term or part-time contract and employed by smaller firms”.
