Polish minister promises new start

Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bak, the labour minister in the new Polish government, has promised to work hard to improve the situation of Polish workers.

A member of the New Left Party within the coalition led by Donald Tusk, she said that she hoped the country was entering into a new period, when “work, workers and trade unions are valued”. And she expressed her satisfaction that her first visit as minister was to the trade union confederation OPZZ.
