Greek unions
Greek unions are continuing with their refusal to register details of their structure and activities in a new government electronic database. This is despite the fact that failure to do so could result in the loss of key union rights, such as the right to sign collective agreements and protection for union office holders.
The requirement to provide these details, which applies to local union organisations, not just national ones, came into effect on 1 January 2022, but the practical deadline is the start of this month, as by then unions should have produced their annual statistics.
