Law Matters

Brexit

The House of Lords recently voted by 316 to 245 in favour of keeping the European Charter of Fundamental Rights after the UK leaves the European Union. This contradicts the stance adopted by the government which is that the Charter should not survive Brexit.

The Charter sets out important rights relating to workers’, trade unions’ and human rights.
