Postal campaign gathers momentum
The campaign to defend postal services and employment standards drives ahead in Manchester on Monday 5 October with an evening rally, a day after the TUC march at the Conservative Party conference (see page 4).
The Conservative government may have sold off most of the Royal Mail, but the campaign aims to secure legislation to safeguard daily deliveries, to end the Ofcom-backed “race to the bottom” on terms and conditions, and to persuade the government to retain its 15% stake.
