App-based transport-based workers
Workers from around the world working in app-based transport services, such as Uber and Bolt, have established an International Alliance of App-Based Transport Workers (IAATW).
Sixty workers from 23 countries met at the end of January at a founding conference in London hosted by the United Private Hire Drivers branch of the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain.
They discussed how to work together to challenge exploitation, precarity and endangerment, and agreed a Manifesto for App-Based Transport Workers.
