Dutch 3% in plastics
Around 170 workers at the plastics extrusion company Essentra in the Netherlands have won a 3.0% increase over 14 months as well as additional performance-related pay worth around 1.1%. This is in line with the overall 3% pay claim for this year made by the FNV union confederation last autumn.
Data from the AWVN employers’ body suggest that this may be an exception, as it estimates that pay increases this year will average 1.5%. Inflation is currently 1.4% (January).
