Settlements dip to 2.8%
Settlements have returned to the level they were rising by at the beginning of the year, latest figures from LRD’s Payline database show.
The median (midpoint) increase on the lowest pay rate for collectively agreed deals on Payline was down to 2.8% in the three months to October from the 2.9% in September.
If the median standard increase is used— what most grades or workers got — the increase was 2.7%.
In the private sector, the median increase was 3.0% for the third month running. In public sector, the median dipped to 2.6% increase from the revised figure for September of 2.7%.
